The Palm hosts Spurs for Thanksgiving

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich and the entire team dined at The Palm on Thursday. The players got to try the restaurant’s Thanksgiving Day menu, which included slow-roasted hand-carved turkey, giblet gravy, homemade cranberry sauce, goat cheese whipped potatoes, sweet potatoes, creamed spinach, green beans, and for dessert, pumpkin pie and New York cheesecake. Before leaving, Popovich (below right) took a moment to pose for a photograph with The Palm’s general manager, Jamie Zeff, and the restaurant’s special events manager, Paulina Slovenkai. The Spurs were in town to play at the TD Garden on Friday, and apparently the meal did them good: the Spurs ended up beating the Celtics 109 to 103.
