Spiralize your citrus
By Ann Trieger Kurland
Globe Correspondent

Spiralizers have us all transforming vegetables into noodle-like strands. Now Chef’n has put out the Lemon-Aid Citrus Spiralizer ($10), a handheld version suitable for lemons, limes, and oranges. Pierce the citrus with the peg and twist the whole fruit through the blade to create a cascade of ribbons. Use the lid as a hand guard for safety. Twist counterclockwise to cut off the coil, which looks lovely in a pitcher of water, as a garnish for a cocktail, or on a plate. Available at Tags Hardware, Porter Square Shopping Center, 29 White St., Cambridge, 617-868-7711; Duck Soup, 365 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, 978-443-3825; Kitchen Outfitters, Acton Woods Plaza, 342 Great Road, Acton, 978-263-1955; and Sur La Table locations; or go to www.chefn.com.ANN TRIEGER KURLAND
