Secretary of State John Kerry was on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!’’ on Tuesday night, mostly talking about the cease-fire in Syria. But he also made some time to talk about Kanye West. Asked by Kimmel whether he could broker peace between West and Taylor Swift, Kerry admitted he’s not up for the job. “I’m not even sure the best secretary of state could get a cease-fire between them,’’ he joked. Kimmel also asked Kerry how often he’s called with emergencies in the middle of the night. The late-night host said to the secretary, “If you and I were friends, I would call you in the middle of the night all the time.’’
