Holidays made happier at Seasons Greetings Meet

The gymnasts from Medina Gymnastics Academy traveled to West Virginia to compete in the 2016 Seasons Greetings Meet in Morgantown.
The Xcel Silver gymnasts took third place as a team and included Reagan Schirmer, who placed third on vault and bars and second on beam and all around; Anna Strzalka finished third on floor and all around and first on beam; and Camille Christeon earned third place on beam, second on vault, and first on floor.
The Xcel Gold gymnasts took first place as a team.
Courtney Bland swept the competition by placing first in every event in her age group. Madison Lee finished first place on vault, bars, floor, and all around; Sophia Akers-Novak placed third on vault, second on bars, and first on floor and all around; Emma Myers finished third on floor and first on vault; Rebecca Taylor placed third on beam and second on bars, floor, and all around; Morgan Rudert earned a first place finish on beam; Emma Bene placed second on floor and all around and first on vault and bars; Amanda Carter earned third all around and first on beam; Gwenneth Asher finished first on bars; and Trinity Bonitz placed third on floor.
The Xcel Platinum gymnasts enjoyed a tremendous first place finish with only three gymnasts competing. Madelyn Deighton finished third on beam, second on floor, and first on vault, bars, and all around; Makenzie Kerr placed second all around and first on beam and floor; and Katie Strzalka finished second on bars and floor.
Competing Xcel Diamond, Bethany Yu took second place on vault and floor and first on bars, beam, and all around. Chloe Cleland placed third on bars and beam, second all around, and first on vault and floor.
Competing level 7: Vivian Liu earned a third place finish on bars and finished first on vault, beam, floor, and all around and Colleen Johnson placed first on vault, beam, and all around.
Finishing third as a team, the level 8 gymnasts included: Mackenzie Yu finishing second all around and first on vault, beam, and floor; Meghan Deighton placed third on floor; and Addison Kasian finished third on bars.
At level 9, Paige Yu placed second on bars and beam and first on vault, floor, and all around.
