Houston native Solange will perform a benefit show for the victims of Hurricane Harvey — and she’ll do it in Boston. The singer announced Wednesday that she’s added a date to her “Orion’s Rise’’ performance series, and it’s at the Orpheum on Sept. 28. Sun Ra Arkestra will open and all proceeds from the show will go to Hurricane Harvey relief funds. “I’m committed to partnering with organizations on the ground in Houston and making contributions to uplift the city that raised me with so much love,’’ she said in a statement. “See you September 28th Boston, I thank you in advance for making this a special meaningful night!’’ Solange, whose sister Beyoncé also has pledged to help relief efforts, is making good on a promise to return to Boston after she abruptly canceled a performance at last spring’s Boston Calling festival.
