Comedian Kathy Griffin, who’s been more or less in the wilderness since posting a strange photo of herself holding what appeared to be the severed, bloody head of President Trump, is making a comeback, and it includes an upcoming show at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre.

Griffin was ostracized after posting the bizarre video, including being fired by CNN as cohost of the network’s New Year’s Eve broadcast with Anderson Cooper. But, a year later, her rehabilitation has begun. She was booked on this week’s episode of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,’’ and talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel has promised to have Griffin on, saying “she didn’t hurt anyone. She is one of the funniest people in the world. She’ll be bigger than ever.’’

The June 21 show in Boston is part of Griffin’s just-announced “Laugh Your Head Off’’ tour, in which she’ll talk about the controversial photo and the fallout that followed.

“Donald Trump will not survive the live and hilarious indictment I will be bringing down on his orange head. Did I say head?’’ Griffin said in a statement announcing the tour. “My show isn’t for the faint of heart so leave your kids at home.’’

Tickets go on sale Saturday.
