RE “Republican rises in polls. Here’s why.’’ (Page A1, Sept. 16): Let’s see if I have this correct. Hillary Clinton says that half of Donald Trump’s supporters are deplorable. According to the Globe: “So, if you ever find yourself wondering: who are these Trump voters? Mostly, they are the same ones who voted for Mitt Romney in 2012.’’ Does this mean that half of the Romney supporters were deplorable? Has anyone asked Mitt his opinion?
