The winter exhibition at the Worcester Center for Crafts, “Bandits & Heroes, Poets & Saints,’’ showcases art from northeast Brazil. The show has been organized around three themes: the land and its people, expressions of faith, and poetry, celebration, and song. The works on display include sculptures, paintings, prints, religious objects, festival costumes, and more. The free exhibit will run through March 11 at the center, 25 Sagamore Road in Worcester, on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more, go to www.worcester.edu/WCC/ or call 508-579-8564.

Minuteman Community Education in Lexington is offering a vacation program from Tuesday, Feb. 21 through Friday, Feb. 24 that will encourage students in grades 1-8 to learn a new hobby and skills while making friends. The offerings include but are not limited to creative writing, engineering, chemistry, and baking. Bullfinchs restaurant in Sudbury will host its next weekly cooking class Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m. Chef Scott Richardson will lead a demonstration on preparing a three-course dinner consisting of brie quesadilla, dijon-crusted lamb, and crepe suzette, with each course paired with wine chosen by an expert. The event is open to anyone interested in cooking. Tickets are $60 per person for a three- to four-course meal with three wines, or $30 per person without wine. Raffaele’s Ristorante opened at 469 Moody St. in Waltham in early January, specializing in classic and authentic Italian cuisine, including chicken parmesan, shrimp and scallop fettuccine, and pizza. All meals are cooked fresh in-house and follow traditional family recipes from Capestrano, Italy. Owner Lory D’Agostino was inspired by her family’s Italian roots to open the eatery in the city where she was born and raised.
