Arts at Colleges of the Fenway got a double dose of publicity this week with two separate events touting the consortium’s creative side. Poet Richard Blanco visited Wentworth Institute of Technology on Tuesday night to kick off the school’s Spring Poetry Series. The night before, Wheelock College’s Wheelock Family Theatre hosted a reception with two Broadway veterans at Room & Board on Newbury Street, during the third week of production on “Mary Poppins.’’ Having originated the role of Jane Banks in the show’s original production, Katherine Doherty joined Wheelock’s current Mary Poppins, Lisa Yuen, as well as two of the production’s young stars, Cameron Levesque and Eowyn Young. Yuen also served as an understudy in the original Broadway run of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.’’
