Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti said longtime general manager Ozzie Newsome will step down after the 2018 season and be replaced by assistant GM Eric DeCosta. Newsome signed a five-year extension in 2014 with the understanding that he surrenders the post to DeCosta at the end of the deal, Bisciotti said. DeCosta joined Baltimore in 1996 and was named assistant GM in 2012. He’s spurned numerous job offers from other teams with the assumption, then assurance, he would inherit Newsome’s job.
