Sunday’s Child is a weekly column featuring a child currently in foster care awaiting adoption.
Gerald is an adventurous, charming, and bright 15-year-old boy of Hispanic descent. He is very funny, engaging, and makes friends easily. Very athletic, Gerald loves to play sports, mainly baseball and football. His favorite teams are the New York Giants, New York Yankees, and Los Angeles Angels.
Gerald has expressed an interest in seeing the country and would love to fly to California to watch the San Jose Sharks and the Los Angeles Galaxy. He then would like to travel to see the rest of the US. He also wants to travel abroad and visit Dubai, Brazil, and Italy.
As a typical teenager he loves to play video games and watch sports on TV. Gerald is very competitive and likes to be precise. He likes to take on a project and see it through to the end so that it turns out exactly as he likes it.
Gerald really likes sneakers and buys Nike Air Jordans whenever he has enough money. He also likes to doodle in his spare time and usually create logos of sports teams. He loves rap music and his favorite artists are Drake, Meek Mill, and Future. If Gerald could be any person he would like to be Odell Beckham Jr., a wide receiver for the New York Giants. Chinese food is Gerald’s favorite meal.
Gerald has shared that he would like a single mom family with or without younger siblings. The ideal family for Gerald should be able to keep him in contact with his birth family. If Gerald had one wish he says that he would like to be a billionaire so he could see every one of his favorite sports teams play and also see Drake, Meek Mill, and Future in concert.
