A three-day break did not stop the surging Wild.

Jared Spurgeon scored the game-winner at 2:46 of overtime to give Minnesota a 3-2 victory over the Predators Tuesday night at Nashville.

Zach Parise and Chris Stewart also scored for Minnesota, which extended its franchise-best winning streak to 11 games.

Filip Forsberg and Reid Boucher scored for Nashville, which has lost two straight.

Stars 3, Coyotes — Jason Spezza had a goal and an assist, Kari Lehtonen made 35 saves, and Dallas beat host Arizona in a fiery contest.

A brawl in the second period resulted in four players serving at least four penalty minutes each. It started when Dallas’s Radek Faksa popped Coyotes goalie Mike Smith in the side with his stick after a shot.

Smith retaliated, and players from both sides intervened. Arizona’s Lawson Crouse and Dallas’s Curtis McKenzie were given five minutes each for fighting.

Penguins 5, Devils 2 — Sidney Crosby scored a goal for the fourth straight game and added two assists in leading visiting Pittsburgh to its 10th win in December.

Flames 6, Avalanche 3 — Mikael Backlund scored two of Calgary’s four goals in the second period and also had an assist.

Johnny Gaudreau also had two goals and an assist for the Flames. All of Calgary’s second-period goals deflected off Colorado players.

Jets 3, Blackhawks 1 — Blake Wheeler, Mark Scheifele and Drew Stafford scored and Connor Hellebuyck made 34 saves to pace visiting Winnipeg.

Islanders 4, Capitals 3 — Andrew Ladd and Anders Lee scored 43 seconds apart early in the third to lift host New York. Ladd had two goals and Cal Clutterbuck added another for New York, which improved to 14-14-6 overall.

Rangers 4, Senators 3 — Defenseman Nick Holden scored the go-ahead goal less than seven minutes into the third period to lift host New York.

Sabres 4, Red Wings 3 — Evander Kane scored his second goal of the game in the third period to lift visiting Buffalo to coach Dan Bylsma’s 300th NHL victory.
