Julian Edelman recently got a surprise in the mail: a care package from his mother. The Patriots wide receiver posted an Instagram photo of “Nothing like getting a fall care package from moms,’’ Edelman wrote, along with some apropos hashtags: #number1mom #ididntevenknow therewerefallcarepackages #loveyou momma. The photo shows a cardboard box containing seasonal table decorations (pumpkin, pine cones, etc.), a variety of candies and other goodies. We also noticed a couple of pouches of Orchard Valley Harvest brand snacks in there (possibly chocolate-covered cherries?). Yum. Good call, Edelmom — you are the best.
