Coming soon: The Dropkick Murphys’ Ken Casey (pictured) and restaurateur Brian O’Donnell (Lion’s Tail, Yellow Door Taqueria) will open Two Saints Tavern & Dos Diablos next month near Symphony Hall (52 Gainsborough St. at St. Stephen Street). A release promises both a rustic tavern and a “bordello-evoking’’ taco bar. Summer Shack alum Andrew White will be the executive chef. Dos Diablos will serve tacos, salads, and dips at dinner; the adjacent Two Saints serves sandwiches and shareable dishes for lunch and dinner. Adam Ford (Pabu, Tiger Mama) mixes tequila- and mescal-focused drinks at Dos Diablos; Two Saints is your place for beer.
Meat and Greet: Cambridge’s The Table at Season to Taste (2447 Massachusetts Ave. at Gold Star Road) serves a $98 four-course lamb feast on May 14. Make reservations to enjoy lamb loin carpaccio with pine nuts and pickled garlic, cumin lamb biang biang noodles with toasted chili oil, artichoke ravioli with lamb belly and mussels, or lamb neck rogan josh with chana masala and pita.
Expansions: Will Gilson and the team from Cambridge’s Puritan & Company take over culinary events at Groton’s 4-acre Herb Lyceum farm (368 Main St.) beginning in May. The Herb Lyceum hosts five-course, $75 BYOB farm dinners on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the summer, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Check out menus in advance at www.herblyceum.com.
Pizza: Plan ahead: The second annual Boston Pizza Festival comes to City Hall Plaza July 7 and 8 with more than 30 pizza-slingers totaling more than 15,000 slices, from Greek to Sicilian to Neapolitan. Sample unlimited pizza both days from noon until 8 p.m. for $35 ($45 at the door, and $20 for kids under 10). High-profile pizza purveyors such as Antico Forno, Babbo, and Regina Pizzeria participated last year.
Coming later: The Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences One Dalton Street will house a Zuma izakaya when it opens in early 2019 — not to be confused with Zuma Tex-Mex Grill at Faneuil Hall. The swanky London-based restaurant will occupy the first floor of the 61-story luxury skyscraper; there are other US branches in New York, Las Vegas, and Miami. Enjoy sushi, sharing plates from a robata grill, and plenty of sake.
