William Wallace
William “Bill” Wallace, 70, of Decatur, Ga., died Nov. 18, 2019, of aggressive esophageal cancer.
Bill was born in Akron and graduated from Northwest High School. He served four years in the U.S. Navy and graduated from the University of Akron. For eight years, he taught American History and Spanish at Chippewa High School in Doylestown, where he was an enthusiastic sports fan, prom advisor, play cast member and softball coach. Bill retired after 20 years as a corporate trainer for FedEx based in the Atlanta area.
Cremation has taken place.
A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home in Dectaur, Ga., handled arrangements.
