I can’t imagine a more quiet activity for winter “sport’’ competition than curling. Including this activity in the Winter Olympic Games would seem to open the Summer Olympic Games to horseshoe pitching and lawn croquet. Oh, wait — croquet was once an Olympic sport, in 1900.
