Massachusetts gas prices

The average price for a gallon of gas in Massachusetts last week fell for the eighth straight week to reach an average of $1.81, according to AAA Northeast. New numbers will be released Monday.

Pharma and biotech production

The Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange, an Internet business and marketing association, is having a career development summit. The event will feature talks by industry leaders, and discussions on topics such as leadership, management, and building an employee base. Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Google Cambridge, 355 Main St, Cambridge. Cost of the event is $100 for members, $175 for nonmembers.

Crowdsourcing food startups

Branchfood, a local group that helps to launch food companies, is having a workshop on the subject of crowdfunding.
