BOSTON MIDSUMMER OPERA Susan Davenny Wyner conducts an intriguing double bill of rarely spotted 19th-century one-act operas: Donizetti’s “Il Campanello’’ and Mascagni’s “L’Amico Fritz.’’ With a cast that includes David Kravitz, Meredith Hansen, Jason Budd, Matthew Vickers, and Britt Brown. TANGLEWOOD In Ozawa Hall, the keenly anticipated Festival of Contemporary Music sets sail on Thursday, dedicated to the memory of its curator, Steven Stucky. The FCM’s six concerts will be spread over five days, with works by Benjamin, Lindberg, Abrahamsen, and many others. Meanwhile in the Shed, conductors Andrew Davis and Juanjo Mena will preside over next weekend’s BSO programs, which, in addition to popular symphonic staples. BOSTON LANDMARKS ORCHESTRA Led by music director Christopher Wilkins, the Landmarks Orchestra continues its popular series of free Wednesday night concerts with a visually themed program highlighting the cultural legacy of Isabella Stewart Gardner.
