A physical education teacher at Huntington Elementary School in Brockton, the 31-year-old won a Colonial Summer Series race on July 20 in Brockton, covering the 3.75-mile course in 22:06.

The 32-year-old Sawler was the top female finisher in a pair of Colonial Summer Series road races in Abington, completing the 3.27-mile course on July 5 in 24:35, following by a clocking of 24:28 on July 26.
