12-year-old Zadrick is a friendly homebody

Sunday’s Child is a weekly column featuring a child currently in foster care awaiting adoption.

Zadrick is a healthy, friendly, talkative, and pleasant 12-year-old boy of Hispanic descent. Sensitive and caring Zadrick is a homebody and likes to stay at home rather than going shopping or even taking a vacation. He is cautious about trying new things and is selective about what he eats. He loves to watch sports on TV but does not care to play sports except volleyball and flag football. He also likes to play wrestling video games.

Zadrick is very resourceful and very good at advocating for himself. He just completed the sixth grade and has an Individual Educational Plan to assist him in school. Zadrick likes interacting with his peers but can tend toward engaging with younger children.

Zadrick would do best with a structured home and firm parenting style. He would do well in any family constellation with or without children as long as he receives love, attention, and encouragement. Zadrick would like a future family to allow him to maintain previously established connections that are important to him
