ªIndictedon allegations he laundered more than $18 million in payments as part of his political work in Ukraine, accusing him of using “his hidden overseas wealth to enjoy a lavish lifestyle in the United States, without paying taxes on that income.’’ The charges did not mention the Trump campaign or suggest coordination between the campaign and the Kremlin to influence the outcome of the election.

Former policy adviser to Trump’s presidential campaign

ª Pleaded guilty to charges that he lied to federal agents working for Mueller’s team. Internal e-mails show that Papadopoulos repeatedly sought to organize meetings with campaign officials, including Trump, and with Putin and other Russians after a Russian national offered “dirt’’ on Hillary Clinton in April 2016.
