The Patriots made many moves on Saturday in reaching the 53-man limit for their Week 1 roster by Saturday’s league deadline, including the release of 32 players. A breakdown of how they reached the number on a busy day:

RB Brandon Bolden, OL Jamil Douglas, OL James Ferentz, RB D.J. Foster, LB Jonathan Freeny, DL Geneo Grissom, DL Woodrow Hamilton, OL Ted Karras, DL Darius Kilgo, TE James O’Shaughnessy, and WR Tony Washington.

FIRST-YEAR PLAYERS RELEASED (4)

LB Trevor Bates, FB Glenn Gronkowski, WR Devin Lucien, and WR K.J. Maye.

ROOKIES RELEASED (17)
