Tomlin in town for ‘Fingersmith’

Was that Lily Tomlin at the press opening of the American Repertory Theater’s production of “Fingersmith’’? Why, yes it was. Turns out the actress, who won a Tony in 1985 for her performance in “The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe,’’ is pals with the “Fingersmith’’ playwright Alexa Junge. (Junge is one of the writers of Tomlin’s Netflix series “Grace and Frankie.’’)
