Investment presentations

Come to a class on the funding process for startups and new businesses. Students will learn about the key metrics that investors notice as well as pitching, valuation, due diligence, and long- term company planning. Wednesday, noon to 2 p.m., General Assembly, 125 Summer St., 13th floor, Boston. $25 for students, $35 for entrepreneurs and investors.

Attend an expo featuring a variety of workplace-centered workshops with the aim to improve company culture. There will workshops focused on professional development, public speaking, and employee relations. Appetizers will be provided. Go Against the Flow

Come to a screening of Go Against the Flow, a documentary designed to inspire women entrepreneurs. Attendees will have the opportunity to see how sucessful women entreprenuers followed their passions in male-dominated fields. Wednesday, 6 to 8:30 p.m., District Hall, 75 Northern Ave., Boston. Free.
