Wanted: Bring new and used hardcover adult and children’s books to the Abington Public Library beginning Friday, April 1, to donate for the Friends of the Library’s annual book sale. CANTON

Outreach: The Norfolk County Register of Deeds will speak at the Canton Public Library at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 29. The register will answer questions and speak about the effort to computerize records dating back to the late 18th century.

DUXBURY

LGBTQ support: The South Shore chapter of the Greater Boston PFLAG will host its monthly support meeting for parents, friends, and family of people who identify as LGBTQ at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 28, in First Parish Church. For more information, e-mail duxburyflag@gmail.com.
