Rosy report does not shoo away clouds looming over our economy

Regarding your editorial “A rising economic tide lifts most households’’: If President Obama’s economic policies have raised wages for millions of American families, that’s great news, and he deserves credit for it. However, it’s a bit much for the Globe to claim, “It’s clear that the economy is headed in the right direction.’’ Perhaps it is, in the short term. How about the long term?

What will happen as income inequality continues to grow?

How should today’s workers and students prepare for a future in which half of US jobs could be automated within the next two decades?

It would be great to see some critical analysis of these issues.
