■ POISON PLOT A janitor accused of trying to poison her co-workers at Plainridge Park Casino by pouring chemical cleaner into their drinks is facing criminal charges, according to the state attorney general’s office. Alexandria Martel, 23, of Attleboro was arrested Tuesday by police assigned to the Massachusetts State Police Gaming Enforcement Unit, according to Chloe Gotsis, deputy press secretary for the office. Authorities asserted that Martel poured chemical cleaner into two of her co-workers’ sodas left in a storage room. The victims discovered this after they noticed it tasted like it contained chemicals, the office said. According to a police report filed in court, police reviewed surveillance video that showed Martel in the storage room standing in front of one of her co-worker’s cups. “You then see her right arm raise up as if she is pouring something,’’ the report stated. When police questioned her about the incident, Martel admitted to pouring “a small amount’’ of “yellow’’ cleaner into a co-worker’s beverage. “When asked if she had a problem with the [victims], she said she has had problems with them for a while,’’ the police report states. “She said [one victim] would accuse of her of not cleaning her bathrooms and not inviting her [to] breakfast with coworkers after work.’’

■ BUS COLLISION An MBTA bus driver and two passengers were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a car and bus collided on Interstate 93 southbound in Charlestown, officials said. Procopio said the 39-year-old MBTA bus driver and two passengers were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with minor injuries. Three other passengers said they would seek medical treatment on their own, he said. MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said the driver and passengers suffered neck pain as a result of the crash. The remainder of the 16 total passengers were transferred to another bus that arrived at the scene, Procopio said. State Police plan to cite the BMW’s driver for traffic violations, he said.
