One doesn’t need to be a member of the New England Patriots to live at Hanover Foxborough, an agreeable apartment complex just off Route 140 and Interstate 95. But since Gillette Stadium is only 13 minutes away, it’s a good choice if one wants to be on time at Patriot Place — or start the journey into Boston.

Built by the Hanover Company and fully open only since last November, this complex fulfills the checklist of required amenities for rental housing in Massachusetts these days, starting with the clubhouse.

Positioned in the center of the complex, the clubhouse includes a fitness center, an elegant meeting room, a catering kitchen, and an 18-seat movie theater (bring your own popcorn) available on a sign-up basis. On the other side of the clubhouse is an in-ground pool with a lifeguard and a few steps away, a playground.

The property has its own forest: a large swatch of uncut trees is at the center of the parcel, providing cooling shade.

The development has one-, two-, and three-bedroom units with a total of eight configurations spread over five buildings. Each building is four stories tall and has an elevator.

From the hallway and immediately inside the two-bedroom versionis a set of closets on either side. The right closet is for coats and such, while the left holds a full-sized washer and dryer, which is standard in all of the units.

A short hallway leads to the living room area, which accommodates a couch, two chairs, and a coffee table positioned in front of a television set perched on an edge of anelongated floor-to-ceiling column.

Looking left, another short hallway reaches the door for one of the two full baths and a second door that opens into the first of the two bedrooms. Like all of the bedrooms in thedevelopment, the room is big enoughfor a king-sized bed. It has a walk-in closet.

The full bath has a single vanity with a honed-granite top. The bath with shower is something of a showstopper: it’s a very large oval, much larger in size than some apartments with higher price tags in Greater Boston.

Here, the kitchen is both the literal and figurative center of the apartment and can be reached from every corner of the unit.

It’s shaped like an H with the cross bar removed. On one side is the full-sized electric stove — stainless steel like all the appliances — and the refrigerator. Opposite is an expansive counter of honed granite with seating for three, a sink, and a spot perfect for countertop machines. Cabinets colored a dark coffee line both walls.

A dining area is nestled in a windowed nook, and an adjacent door leads to a small private patio.

Just before entering what is considered the master suite, there is a recessed desk area with built-in shelving and undermount lighting.

The master bedroom has its own walk-in closet and is similarly sized as the other (meaning a king fits easily), but the bedroom by itself is not reason enough to pay a larger share of rent. What does make the difference is the en-suite bath, which has a single-honed granite vanity.

The flooring in the main rooms is wood laminate. The bedrooms are carpeted and have ceiling fans.

The Hanover Foxborough leasing office in the clubhouse is open seven days a week.
