US mortgage rates

New numbers for the average 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage will be released Thursday. Last week, Freddie Mac reported the average 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage rose to 3.47 percent from 3.42 percent the week before.

Microsoft Corp. and athenahealth Inc. are expected to release their earnings reports on Thursday for the fiscal quarter that concluded in September.

Massachusetts jobless rate

The Massachusetts unemployment rate for September will be released Thursday. The Commonwealth’s jobless rate dropped to 3.9 percent in August from 4.1 percent the month before.

Women in Technology International is hosting a discussion on fighting “Imposter Syndrome,’’ or feelings of self-doubt and inadequacy that business professionals may face, especially as they move up in their careers.
