Boston’s HUBweek returns for its second day Wednesday with a slate of events dedicated to exploring science, technology, and the arts. Here’s a look at a few:
“Cancer Disparities + Diversity in Life Sciences,’’ 10 a.m., 1 Beacon St. (32nd floor): A panel discusses cancer disparities among communities of color, and efforts to boost diversity in the life sciences industry. The event is hosted by UMass Boston and the Dana Farber/Harvard Cancer Center. Free, registration required.
“How to Attract Global Entrepreneurs to Boston,’’ 12 p.m., 1 Beacon St. (32nd floor): Amazon isn’t the only business Boston should be focused on landing. That’s the idea, anyway, of this afternoon session, which examines efforts to keep foreign-born college students in Massachusetts following graduation. Free, but tickets are sold out.
Bully Boy distillery tour, 1:30 p.m., 44 Cedric St. in Boston: Dave and Will Willis, the brothers behind Bully Boy Distillers, give a tour of their new space. Participants must be 21. Free, but tickets are sold out.
