Boston-bred post-punk pioneers Mission of Burma are on the anti-Trump bandwagon. The celebrated band is part of “30 Days, 30 Songs,’’ a campaign by musicians to oppose, in song, the Republican presidential candidate. Among other acts involved are Aimee Mann, Bhi Bhiman, Jim James, Franz Ferdinand, Josh Ritter, R.E.M., Death Cab for Cutie, and Lila Downs. MOB’s contribution is “Panic Is No Option,’’ which was recorded at Oberon last year. In a note posted on the “30 Days, 30 Songs’’ website, Burma guitarist Roger Miller (at right) says the song isn’t overtly political “but some of these lyrics could, um, be applied to the present political situation without much trouble.’’ Here’s a sample: “Don’t leave the field to the enemy without a plan of action/ Leave them tethered to the [expletive] that they make every day/ Their venom pools in a darkened corner/ They’ll never find the antidote to themselves.’’
