Recent bird sightings as reported to the Massachusetts Audubon Society:

Most breeding songbirds have settled into their summer territories, and some are already nesting.

►Quabbin Reservoir: Notable sightings of breeding birds last week included two yellow-bellied sapsuckers, seven yellow-billed cuckoos, at least three cerulean warblers, eight blackburnian warblers, and 10 black-throated blue warblers. All were spotted at the area west of the demolished town of Dana.

►Plum Island: Parker River National Wildlife Refuge hosted an olive-sided flycatcher and a tricolored heron. Additional olive-sided flycatchers were spotted last week at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge and at Crooked Pond in Boxford.

►Miscellaneous: Sightings last week included a continuing king rail at Belle Isle Marsh in Boston and a continuing trumpeter swan off of Osgood Road in Charlton.
