It’s obvious that this man is a threat to no one. The government has senselessly broken up a family, sent the father back to his dangerous past, left his US-citizen sons fatherless and his wife to fend for the family at a minimum wage job. A miscarriage of justice is what it is. The Obama administration should be ashamed of such actions. (user_3885970) . . .
Imagine that, the president of the United States, who swore to uphold the Constitution and enforce the laws, is actually doing it for a change. Those deported deserve to be deported. (ool) . . .
I don’t have any sympathy for someone who sneaked into the country illegally and stayed for decades while racking up arrests for assorted “minor’’ things. People who do that know the risks, including the risk that if they have children while they are here illegally, they are opening themselves up to being caught, deported, and separated from their children. That’s the risk they willingly took. (mrbrightside) . . .
We should be careful that in our zeal to enforce the law, we don’t lose sight of the spirit of the law. The [Immigration and Nationality Act] is full of exemptions and waivers to allow for humane enforcement. (V-11) . . .
HE is here illegally. As far as I’m concerned, that’s the only thing that matters. (thula)
