Enough was enough Walpole

Walpole and Norfolk residents marched along Route 1A on March 17, 1990, to protest a proposal to build a sludge dump next to the state prison at Cedar Junction. Residents said the site bordered watersheds that fed wells at the prison and waterways leading to the Charles River, according to a Globe article. The sludge dump was never built in town.
