Police responded Tuesday to bomb threats at three schools, the latest in a string of such incidents besetting Eastern Massachusetts schools the past two weeks.

Police responded to Arlington High School on Massachusetts Avenue after someone made a threat. Students were evacuated about 10:40 a.m. as police checked the premises, officials said in a series of statements posted on Twitter.

On Facebook, police said they believed the threat, which was made via phone call, was “low grade.’’ School was not dismissed for the day, authorities said.

Wakefield Memorial High School received an automated phone call and was evacuated, Superintendent Kim Smith said in an e-mail to the school community. Police and fire officials searched the building after 11:40 a.m., Smith said, and students returned to class.

In Milton, Tucker Elementary School received a telephone threat, and students were evacuated to Parkway United Methodist Church, Superintendent Mary C. Gormley said in an e-mail sent to parents. Police completed a sweep of the building after 11:50 a.m., the department posted on Twitter, and classes resumed.

On Monday, three schools were evacuated and searched after threats were called in. A rash of threats, some made by robocalls, has disrupted classes in recent weeks at Eastern Massachusetts schools.

The FBI, State Police, and local law enforcement are investigating.
