Lego club: The Abington Public Library invites children entering first grade and higher to make Lego creations Monday, Aug. 8, at 2:30 p.m. in the Copeland Room. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and Duplos will be available for younger children.

Meet and greet: Meet Mark Chester, the photographer behind a collection now on display in Bridgewater Public Library’s Flora T. Little Gallery. The meet-and-greet event will be held Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the library. Chester’s collection is titled “The Bay State: A Multicultural Landscape’’ and features black-and-white portraits of naturalized US citizens. The gallery is open during regular library hours.

Watch croquet: The Duxbury Rural & Historical Society will host its annual croquet tournament on the lawn of the King Caesar House Saturday, Aug. 13, from 3 to 7 p.m. Spectator tickets are available for $25 per person; they include access to games, food, and two drink tickets. Summertime snacks: Christ Church will hold its fourth annual Lobster and Strawberry Festival and Craft Fair Friday, Aug. 12, and Saturday, Aug. 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Homemade lobster rolls and strawberry shortcake will be for sale, as well as handcrafted goods.

Dinner and trivia: The Sharon Adult Center will host a Chinese dinner buffet catered by Asia Treasures of Walpole on Thursday, Aug. 11, at 5:15 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., radio host Jordan Rich will lead a trivia game about famous voices from history.
