Oscar winner Chris Cooper is back at home on the South Shore after saying farewell, for now, to Broadway. Cooper and his costars in “A Doll’s House, Part 2,’’ Laurie Metcalf and Condola Rashad wrapped work in the wildly successful show last weekend. (All three earned Tony nominations, and Metcalf won.) The show, directed by Tony winner Sam Gold, earned enthusiastic reviews and A-list admirers. We’re told that the final shows featuring the original cast drew big crowds that included Harvard prof Cornel West, actor Bobby Cannavale, actress Sarah Paulson, feminist icon Gloria Steinem, and Tony winner Kristen Chenoweth. Cooper said he’s looking forward to spending time back in Kingston with his wife, Marianne Leone, who’s been on the road promoting her latest book, “Ma Speaks Up.’’
