Special treatment in line to ladies’ room
I loved Beth Teitell’s article about the long lines to the ladies’ room at Boston theaters (“Hottest seats in town,’’ Page A1, May 30).
Forty years ago, nine months pregnant, I waited in a line at a Boston theater when I felt a tug on my arm.
A theater matron twirled me around, announcing loudly, “Pregnant women and nuns don’t have to wait,’’ and ushered me to a bathroom downstairs in the actors’ dressing room.
A great Boston memory.
