James Harden had a game-high 26 points on 10-for-19 shooting (3 of 8 from the 3-point arc) and tied a career-high with 14 assists as the Rockets snapped a three-game losing streak with a 115-102 victory over the Miami Heat Tuesday night in Houston.

The Rockets played without center Dwight Howard, who was serving a one-game suspension for touching an official during a home loss to Washington over the weekend. The league said the suspension without pay was for ‘‘striking the arm of a game official’’ late in Saturday’s 123-122 loss to the visiting Wizards. Houston coach J.B. Bickerstaff was fined $10,000 for public criticism of the officiating.

Howard was ejected after getting his second technical with 8:08 left in the fourth of Saturday’s setback after pushing Nene, who drew a double technical and was also ejected, while the two tangled under the basket.

Harden, though, negated Howard’s absence as did Josh Smith, who started at center and had 19 points on 8-for-13 shooting and four rebounds. Luol Deng led seven Heat players in double figures with 17 points.

Dwyane Wade had 16 and Goran Dragic and Amar’e Stoudemire each had 14 apiece for Miami.

Raptors 104, Suns 97 — In Phoenix, Toronto’s All-Star guard tandem of Kyle Lowry (26 points) and DeMar DeRozan (22) combined for 48 points on 16-for-31 shooting to spoil the debut of Suns interim coach Earl Watson.

The Raptors talented backcourt offset power forward Markieff Morris, who led the Suns with 30 points and 11 rebounds (both season highs) while Devin Booker had 27 points and Archie Goodwin had 18 points and 12 assists.
