Mortgage rates

New numbers for the average 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage will be released Thursday. Last week, Freddie Mac reported the average 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage fell to 3.79 percent from 3.81 percent the week before.

The New England Employee Benefits Council, a trade group for benefits practitioners, is having an event to discuss current trends in health care. Representatives from insurance companies such as Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA, and CIGNA will be presenting. VC money for startups

Law firm Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton is hosting an informational event for entrepreneurs wishing to learn more about venture capital funding.
