■ Correction: Because of a reporting error, a Page One story Thursday about a lawsuit to expand end-of-life options in Massachusetts misstated the tie between Drs. Alan Steinbach and Roger Kligler. Steinbach is not currently treating Kligler, who has a terminal illness, but he would like the option to provide Kligler and others like him with drugs to hasten their death if they request it. The Globe regrets the error.
