Five takeaways from the week in TV:

1. “Will & Grace’’ may or may not be returning for a new season. Depends who you ask. Leslie Jordan, who played recurring character Beverly Leslie on the sitcom, told an interviewer that 10 new episodes were in the works. “Sadly Leslie was wrong,’’ Debra Messing replied to a fan on Twitter. “Nothing beyond talks.’’

2. After Megyn Kelly announced her departure from Fox News for NBC, the cable news channel quickly announced her replacement: It will be Tucker Carlson, and he’ll take over her 9 p.m. slot on Monday. Also, Greta Van Susteren, formerly of Fox News, landed at MSNBC this week. She’ll host “For the Record With Greta’’ in the 6 p.m. time slot.

3. “The New Celebrity Apprentice,’’ now “new’’ because it stars Arnold Schwarzenegger instead of Donald Trump, did not become a huge, huge ratings hit. The numbers — including 4.9 million total viewers — were down 35 percent from last year’s Monday premiere.

4. The Golden Globe Awards air Sunday on NBC, and in an interview with Matt Lauer, host Jimmy Fallon said he would be aiming for lightness. “We’re in a really fun business,’’ he said. “We’re so lucky to be in this entertainment business, and this should be entertainment; it should be a party.’’ Fallon said that his opening monologue will not be “heavily political,’’ adding, “None of my stuff is that political. There’s other ways to be creative with that.’’

5. Rosie O’Donnell posted tweets going after her nemesis, Donald Trump, this week. She called him “mentally unstable’’ and a “criminal.’’ Just in case you thought they were friends.
