The Forbes Under 30 Summit is bringing major star power to the Hub. The four-day conference kicks off Sunday with a concert on City Hall Plaza featuring performances by Jason Derulo, Halsey, Gallant, and Delta Rae, and will continue through Oct. 19 with a host of panel discussions and guest speakers, including actor-venture capitalist Ashton Kutcher, Olympic medalists Aly Raisman and Michael Phelps, celebrity chef-restaurateur Bobby Flay, model-author Chrissy Teigen, Boston Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck, Mayor Marty Walsh, Governor Charlie Baker, “Hamilton’’ actor Anthony Ramos, Dr. Deepak Chopra, sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer, tennis star-entrepreneur Maria Sharapova, DraftKings CEO Jason Robins, New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett (who’s also a children’s book author and founder of The Imagination Agency), Globe managing director Linda Pizzuti Henry, and Boston Beer Co. founder Jim Koch — to name a few.
To give you an idea of some of the events that are planned on Monday, here’s a small sampling: “Hamilton’’ star Okieriete Onaodowanwill present a spoken word performance accompanied by what’s described as “a groundbreaking synched VR experience’’; actress Jessica Alba (pictured) will speak about how she started The Honest Company; Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson will give a talk titled “Business Is an Adventure,’’ and Derulo, the singer-songwriter known for such hits as “Talk Dirty’’ and “Watcha Say,’’ will speak at Harvard Business School about the state of the music industry.
