Music director Andris Nelsons was the center of attention at the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s annual Higginson Society Dinner, held the other night at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel. Nelsons (below center) was interviewed by “Greater Boston’’ host Jim Braude, and the evening’s other speakers included BSO trustee Ron Casty, Deutsche Grammophon president Clemens Trautmann (left), the orchestra’s managing director Mark Volpe, (right), and Jessica Zhou, principal harpist with the BSO. The Higginson Society Dinner, also known as “Meet the Musicians,’’ gives supporters of the BSO a chance to interact with its members, 20 or so of whom attended the dinner.
