Ruling in Kesha case

A New York judge has thrown out pop star Kesha’s hate-crime and human-rights claims that producer Dr. Luke drugged, sexually abused, and emotionally tormented her. Manhattan state Supreme Court Justice Shirley Werner Kornreich ruled Wednesday in the singer’s civil-court clash with the hit-making producer, who denies the allegations. The judge said Kesha’s claims that Dr. Luke raped and abused her can’t go forward because the alleged incidents happened outside New York and beyond the legal time limit.(AP)
