Charlie Henderson (top photo), a Cub Scout Lion, was one of the participants in the Pinewood Derby held Saturday by Pack 45 at the Central Congregational Church in Chelmsford. Cub Scout Wolf Leah Downs, 8 (left photo), watched as the cars raced down the track. Girls participated as official members of the Boy Scouts for the first time on Saturday. And Pack 45 welcomed five girls this year as members of the Cub Scout unit. Homemade derby cars (right photo) were lined up on the race track, ready to go.
