Two men are facing charges, including assault with intent to murder, for a triple shooting in Milford Friday night that injured one of their fathers, authorities said.
Michael S. Rooney, 40, and Keith Putnam, 27, were also charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a person over 60 years of age in the shooting of Rooney’s father, Michael E. Rooney, 67, according to Milford police.
The elder Rooney was shot in the foot during an apparent domestic disturbance that broke out shortly before 9 p.m. at an apartment complex at 1 Pheasant Circle, police said. He was hospitalized at UMass Memorial Medical Center on Saturday. His son was shot in the finger. Putnam was shot in the head. The two were treated and released from the hospital on Saturday, police said.
Putnam was held on $50,000 cash bail, and Rooney on $25,000 cash bail.
