Following the departure of Fox 25 news director Lee Rosenthal, Mike Oliveira has been named the new news director at WFXT-TV. Oliveira takes on this new role Sept. 6. . . . Kathryn Hauser(left) has left Boston’s WBZ-TV (Channel 4), where she anchored the weekday morning and noon newscasts. Her last day was Aug. 17. . . . NECN confirmed that Frank Holland has joined the station as a weekend anchor and reporter (his first day was Monday) and reporter Susan Tran will start her new NECN gig on Sept. 6. . . . And soon we’ll see a new face behind the WHDH-TV (Channel 7) news desk. Alex DiPrato is leaving Miami for a position in Boston, and his first day on the job will be Oct. 3.
