WBUR honors former Globe editor at gala

Marty Baron, the executive editor of The Washington Post, was in town to attend The Heart of WBUR gala on Wednesday. The former Globe editor received the WBUR medal at the event, which took place at the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge. WBUR general manager Charlie Kravetz was there, along with many other supporters of the radio station. The gala featured a live recording of “Modern Love: The Podcast’’ with Meghna Chakrabarti, as well as a conversation about the presidential election with Washington Post columnist E.J. Dionne,Eliana Johnson of the National Review, NPR international correspondent Philip Reeves, and On Point host Tom Ashbrook.
