Brighton over Lowell Catholic: The unbeaten Bengals can score (32.0 ppg) and defend (11.1). The Fighting Crusaders (27.1/27.3) can score . . . and they are 1-3 on the road.
Marblehead over Gloucester: Record-breaking back Christian Sanfilippo (18 TDs) is a senior on a mission for the visiting Fishermen, but it’s hard to overlook a Magician D yielding 7.9 points per game.
Marshfield over King Philip: The Jackson Phinney/Jack McNeil-fueled Ram attack (40.8 ppg) has a slight edge over the host Warriors in this D1A South semifinal.
Duxbury over Stoughton: The Black Knights have allowed 3 total points the past three weeks, albeit with back-to-back shutouts over Milford. Not enough defense, though, to derail the Dragon Express (48.9 ppg).
Falmouth over Milton: The Clippers have the third-highest scoring differential in EMass (+222), plus coach Derek Almeida’s squad has been the first school listed on the Globe’s standings page for eight weeks running.
Silver Lake over Westwood: One week after slipping by Scituate, 28-26, for the program’s first playoff win in 36 years, Alec Snell and the 7-1 Lakers hit the road in search of No. 2. Strength of schedule is the difference.
Bridgewater-Raynham over Wellesley: The Trojans’ rugged slate (see Duxbury, Xaverian, Dartmouth, St. John’s Prep) pays off for the second straight week against a Bay State Conference foe.
Everett over Central Catholic: The Crimson Tide, with conviction and with candor, have referenced last year’s 33-14 defeat to Central in the Division 1 North final. And they certainly made a statement against Haverhill in Round 1.
Andover over St. John’s Prep: Ailing QB Mike Yarin and his top target, Hayden Rockett, will be game-time decisions for Prep. And after his stirring performance in last week’s riveting rally at Lexington, we’re not questioning the brilliance of EJ Perry IV (33 passing TDs, 11 rushing).
Season record: 6-3; Last week: 45-20.
